JUSTIFICATION:
When designing my workshop and handouts, I continuously considered and evaluated how I could best utilize technology to enhance student learning. I created the workshop lesson plan and sitemap to outline clear goals and objectives on the Workshop content, assignments specifically for my students. I included prerequisites to help me design the appropriate level of learning tasks using technology-based instructional strategies and presentation techniques. The workshop itself was created for my students to be an easy-to-use, readily accessible web platform to deliver requested course content and accommodate different learning styles. The links included in the Workshop support key points discussed in class and suggestions given by my students. I’ve highlighted information with a variety of graphics to add visual interest for my diverse audience. Supportive learning materials with the Glossary Terms of the Adobe Photoshop created in Adobe Acrobat in PDF format were printed and for my students learn better by referring back to hard copies of workshop materials and writing personal notes.
I created the hands-on exercises based on the diversity of my students needs. Instead of giving one big test at the end of the overall content, which some prefer, I decided to accommodate both learners needs by reviewing the material just learned before going to the next subject and then giving mid-course and post-course evaluation. By using several types of prompt-feedback assessments students demonstrate learning by applying.
