JUSTIFICATION:
As a multimedia instructor, I am constantly working on staying abreast of emerging technologies.
To aid my fellow instructors and classroom / online students, I created an online workshop to help them learn the basics of using an Adobe Photoshop. It is very commonly known software to use to manipulate digital photographs, pictures and all the scanned visuals, etc. This online workshop is on going and anybody can use it
as a source of a learning the basic skills of the Adobe Photoshop.
I started to teach Multimedia based courses in the Fall of 2012 at the College of the Canyons and one of the design software I teach is the Adobe Photoshop. Teaching the basic skills of Adobe Photoshop to my students was very time consuming in the classroom and it was also taking some extra time while I am focusing on the critics and lecture sections in my classroom lessons. I decided to create this online workshop for my students and for my fellow non-technology based instructors. I also created handouts and glossary of terms for Adobe Photoshop in order to help to improve all my students learning skills and they can use their skills effectively while they are practicing on their class projects.
This online workshop improved my students growth and development in the understanding the fundamentals of the Adobe Photoshop and it’s concepts as a whole. This workshop is online based and anybody can use it anytime and anywhere.
