REFLECTION:
The artifacts in this section represent the majority of the skills and knowledge I gained from the Technology Based Education program. Before starting the program I never thought that I could create an educational website. It wasn’t that I thought I couldn’t do it, but I thought it may have been something so complicated it was much better to be left up to a professional design. At TBE program I not only designed a website, but I designed an interactive website with a detailed online lesson plan. This knowledge has increased the way I look at working with tools on the world wide web. I don’t have to rely on “experts” I can do it myself. I also had the opportunity to learn how to create interactive tutorials with the Macromedia Director program. Although it was a lot of work (creating and understanding scripts) I had a great deal of fun showing off what I created. The articles in this section demonstrated how I’ve researched and evaluated emerging technology and resources that allows me to preview the possibilities of what I will be working with and developing in the future.
