JUSTIFICATION:
The main purpose of this research study was to determine the effects of an educational technology workshop on teaching and learning. More specifically, is Adobe Photoshop software helps to improve lessons and make lessons more effective and interactive?
I learned that Adobe Photoshop is helpful software to create, and develop lessons in Community colleges as well as K-12 schools. It is a helpful tool to make lessons more effective and interactive too. Assessments that I created helped instructors to improve their skills while using Adobe Photoshop. Using technology and web also helped to instructors to work on their homework assessment on their own pace and time. In my process I also learned how to create a lesson plan for an online workshop for educators. I learned to create and develop and assess instructors while using different methods. Obtaining consent of authorizations for my workshop from instructors helped me for the purpose. I learned to create workshop evaluation surveys and conduct instructor interviews before and after my workshop.
I found that Adobe Photoshop is very helpful software to create and develop lessons and make them more effective and interactive for students. Because based on my workshop evaluations the participants created their homework assessment successfully and their quiz scores were significantly high. Participants of my workshop also stated that the workshop met the stated objectives, and that they have learned something they will personally use in their teaching assignments in their upcoming semesters. Participants also stated that the workshop was very well designed and organized and has a easy to understand web-site, it was very user friendly to use.
Participants stated that the presenter of the workshop was very well prepared too and the handouts were very helpful for them to learn the basics and was a good guide while they were working on their assessment. As an overall result of this workshop, participants were very satisfied from overall evaluation of the workshop and the overall score was 10 out of 10 from the workshop evaluation form.
The process of implementing technology tools in to my workshop and lesson plan gave me a great foundation in that purpose. Also collecting data for a qualitative Action Research Project and analysis was helpful to learn the process of data analysis. And my qualitative Action Research Project practice help me how to conduct, process and implement a research project into real life.
